Warm Apple Pie Dip
Dip a Club® cracker into this easy to make recipe that turns the all American classic apple pie into the perfect dip for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 2 cups (16 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, divided
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon, divided
- 3/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg, divided
- 2 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and diced
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans, optional
- Caramel sauce, optional, for drizzling
- Club® Original Crackers, for serving
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Beat cream cheese until smooth in medium bowl. Add 1/2 cup of brown sugar, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, and 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg and mix until combined.
2. Spread mixture evenly over the bottom of a 8x8-inch baking dish or oven-safe skillet.
3. Combine apples, remaining brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in small saucepan over medium-low heat.
4. Cook, stirring occasionally until apples are tender and brown sugar has completely dissolved, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and pour over cream cheese mixture in baking dish.
5. Bake until dip is warm and bubbling, about 20-25 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with chopped pecans. Drizzle with caramel sauce and serve with Club® Original Crackers.
Tip: Easily substitute homemade apple pie filling for 2 cups of canned apple pie filling!
